GATES is a major, web-based development effort that provides AMC, the Department of Defense, and commercial partners with an automated management system to process and track cargo and passenger information, support management of resources, provide logistical support information, generate standard and ad hoc reports, and provide message routing and delivery service for virtually all aircraft data. TRI-COR initiated the project in April 1994 as an 8(a) company. When the GATES program transitioned to another contract vehicle in 1996, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) took over as the prime contractor. CSC employs an integrated team approach to GATES development that has allowed TRI-COR to continue to be a major contributor in virtually every aspect of the GATES development effort.
