aa TRI-COR Industries, Inc., an award-winning information technology services firm, is looking for an outstanding individual for a Database Administrator position. The DBA assists in developing the physical and logical design of the database, as well as with development, installation, and configuration. Performs server hardware sizing such as disks, memory, processes and environment setup prior to installing the DBMS software. Develops and implements SQL scripts for various aspects of the database such as startup and shutdown, performance monitoring, notifications, and task automations. Monitors the health of the database manually and automatically by utilizing SQL and shell scripts and by employing Oracle and third-party GUI tools, such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, Quest Central, and Spotlight on Oracle. Installs, configures, and maintains Quest’s SharePlex for Oracle replication tool for one-way replication of the database. Assists DBA support staff with the newly configured system and provide detailed documentation. This position requires a minimum of 4 years experience, of which at least 3 years must be specialized experience in administrating computer systems. General experience includes operations experience on a large-scale computer system or a multi-server local area network. The Database Administrator must have a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics or business/finance. Education and experience requirements may be substituted with: - A Master’s Degree (in subjects described above) and 3 years general experience of which at least 2 years must be specialized experience. - An Associate’s Degree and 6 years of general experience, of which at least 5 years must be specialized experience. - No degree and 8 years general experience of which 6 years is specialized experience. aa Minimum of 3 years practical experience in web development using JAVA, HTML, J2EE Oracle, and development tools such as Jdeveloper, ColdFusion, or DreamWeaver. Practical experience developing system-to-system web services is a plus. Applicant should be familiar with the following technologies: Oracle Application Server, Oracle Web Cache, Internet Directory, LDAP, OEM, CSV configuration management, SSL security, PL/SQL procedures, XML development, UltraSearch internet/database usage and Web Services, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, ERWIN database modeling, object-oriented technology, UNIX, Red Hat, RAC, Oracle Backup Replication or Shareplex, InfoPump. Experience with the U.S. Force global air mobility operations. Experience with Air Mobility Command’s Global Decision Support System (GDSS) and Control Information Processing System (C2PIS). Experience in the integration and interoperability of existing operational C4I systems. Experience in strategic planning and development of vision documents that guide future air mobility operations and information systems development. Experience in information systems requirements definition and justification. Experience in the development of training programs for new information systems.
