Regional Business Development Representative TRI-COR Industries, Inc.; a Service Disabled, Veteran Owned, Small Business; is seeking an experienced business development (BD) professional, possessing a proven ability to market and sell Information Technology (IT) services, to lead company BD efforts in the St Louis Metropolitan area. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing a marketing strategy for securing new IT business within the Federal, State, and local government sectors. The individual will report to the Corporate Director of Business Development in Lanham, MD, but the fundamental purpose of the position is to meet the BD needs of TRI-COR Directors in the field who service customers in the St Louis area. Specific duties include: • Researching, targeting, qualifying and tracking IT business opportunities • Developing/executing capture strategies, sales call / account plans, and presentations (general and targeted) • Supporting proposal development associated with solicited and unsolicited opportunities • Developing strong professional relationships with prospective customers and partners Education/Experience: We are seeking candidates who possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and three years of experience directly involved in marketing IT services. The requirement for a degree can be waived if offset by substantial relevant experience. General knowledge in areas such as software/system/network engineering, enterprise data services, help desk services, and IT training, is highly desirable. Knowledge of Federal procurement regulations is also very important. A working knowledge of MSOffice applications and the Internet is essential. Candidates should also possess strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work independently or as a member of diverse teams. TRI-COR Industries, Inc. a Service Disabled, Veteran Owned, Small Business, is expanding and is seeking an Executive-level Business Development Professional with experience in marketing and selling Federal IT services. The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying, marketing, capturing, and securing IT-related programs within the Federal Government market, and will work closely with field Services Directors in prospecting and identifying new business opportunities that are in line with TRI-COR’s core competencies. This position would be located in Lanham, MD at our Corporate Headquarters. Position Responsibilities • Researching, targeting, and qualifying business opportunities and leads within the Federal IT services market working in close cooperation with the Field Services Directors, and various managers (i.e., BDMs, Program Managers, Contracts Manager, Capture and Proposal Manager). • Opportunity research and qualification of business development cycle accomplished via existing customer base and contacts built over tenure as business development professional. • Responsible for qualifying those leads with assistance from BDM and Program Manager and develop capture strategies, call plans, and focused presentations to prospective clients. • Teaming with other businesses for specific opportunities is also part of process. If opportunities result in RFPs, works closely with proposal development staff to develop responses to RFPs. • Effectively support proposal efforts to win contracts. Partner with Capture Manager for contract wins and losses and is responsible for overcoming any customer related obstacles that stand in the way of a contract win. Education/ Requirements: • Market knowledge in at areas such as: systems engineering, systems operations, network connectivity, client/server environments, software applications, and enterprise data services. • Knowledge of Federal procurement regulations. • Ability to analyze opportunities and appropriately assess the value and the ability to analyze solicitations and appropriately define resource requirements and budgets. • Ability to analyze opportunities, requirements and bid evaluation criteria to develop the most effective strategies. • Ability to perform mathematical/financial analysis and analyze the quality of all work performed and the completed proposal. • Ability to contribute to the improvement of TRI-COR’s competitive positioning. • Bachelor's degree is preferred. • Knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, and the Internet. • Strong organizational, problem-solving, listening, and interpersonal skills. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. • Ability to work effectively and perform multiple tasks under pressure.
